Founded in Como, in 1902, by Riccardo Mantero, Mantero has always been a family business. Ever since its inception the family have been experts in fabric printing and their ‘Double’ patent silk-screen printing technique allowing the same design to be printed in different colours on the fabric in one session is world renowned. Now they created something very special indeed…
This year the company has created ‘Dee Di Vita’ a project in association with Salute Allo Specchio, a fund raising initiative supporting women undergoing cancer treatment at the San Raffaele Hospital in Italy.
Based on a classic 90×90 silk carré, the VITA turban was specifically designed by the Mantero team together with cancer patients, and conceived so as to adapt in the best way possible to their needs. They wanted to create a valid (and stylish) option compared to the wig, for women undergoing chemotherapy.
The VITA turban will be distributed online and in selected shops, for more info visit www.deedivita.org/the-project/
Revenues from these sales will go towards supporting and driving the Salute Allo Specchio project and its programme dedicated to cancer patients at the San Raffaele Hospital.
Feminine and classic, the VITA turban is the ideal fashion accessory for women under treatment. It is the perfect combination of elegance and practicality, and at the same time bursts with personality – it is perfect for any outfit.
